I’m using a green paper for the background meant for this purpose; I tried cloth, but it had wrinkles in it and I was told not to iron it. Is it not possible to greenscreen this way?

Hi, I’m grateful for your suggestion, but I’m not sure how to use the advice. The page in question suggests several formats, but doesn’t go into specifics about settings, except that it suggests a bitrate even higher than what I’ve been using which would create even larger sized files. I guess I was hoping that someone who had done it before could tell me how they compact HD videos.
    Thanks

    Yes. What’s wrong with it?

Hi. Would that give me a relatively compact 10-15 megeabytes per minute file size? I just want something I can upload to youtube.
If so, can you post a screenshot of the video settings for this so I can try it?
    Thanks

I appreciate all your thoughts but
    1) The tuturial you suggested (both are the same) didn’t work for me.
    2) Boris costs over $500. I really want to get the Sony Vegas chroma keying, which I already have, working on its own. It should be able to work.

If any of you want to try the sample file from my original post and tell me if you find a way to do it, let me know.
    Thanks

I got it working! I cut the bit rate down to 2mpbs. Didn’t seem to affect quality on 640 x 360

    Thanks for all your help!!!!

Thanks for the eyedropper tip. It works, I think, but when I make my mask I still get a outline of a white box (from the edges of the inset track) around my actress, no matter how I adjust the settings. Any ideas?

Also, can it really be true that mpeg sizes simply doubled and there is nothing that can be done about it???

  • No, that isn’t the problem. It’s not permanently open, and I’m sure it’s for the right track.

That’s what I actually did as a temporary fix. But many thanks for confirming this….

Also I know about cookie cutter but it will not work for me–I need something without a border. Do you know if movie studio 11 has masking?
