[CMedia] “What is ais rotation, bis rotation, and cis rotation?
“Sorry, the typos were my fault. It was one of those copy and paste glitches that in my rush to finish several things at once, I forgot to fix.
Anyway:
It should read:38.Set the step1a’s rotation to +90
39.Set the step1b’s rotation to -90
40.Set the step1c’s rotation to +180
I’ll be going through to find the other typos and will upload the corrected version shortly.

Here’s the link for the tutorial:
https://www.creativecow.net/show.php?page=/articles/doszla_marek/butterfly/index.htmlYou might also do a search of the archives. There was some discussion of a work-around that was needed for the expression to work when translating the tutorial from the 5.5 version that it is to the new versions (6.0 and above).

Actually, we have some really cool tutorials in our library–and they’re written in English.
Some of the tutorials on some of the other sites out there are amazingly similar to tutorials we’ve had for quite sometime. Not making any accusations, mind you. But I’m sure if you’re just wanting to learn some of the cool techniques, you can find plenty of tutorials right here.
Click on the Tutorial button to the left, then choose After Effects tutorials. Or the old after effects tutorial page is still linked the the After Effects COW banner up top — although, I’m no longer updating that page, so you won’t be able to find our newer articles.
And as Ron pointed out. The search engine is your friend. So many of these techniques have been discussed so many times already, we’re actually thinking of having a subset forum just for ayato tutorial discussions. Who knows. It could happen. But many of the “tutorials” never make it into the library as people just post them. So, search, search, search.
Good luck with your training. Taken one bite at a time, it’s not so daunting.

We also have a beginner’s shatter tutorial in our library:
https://www.creativecow.net/articles/unguren_ben/shatter/index.htmlA really nice tutorial from Ben Unguren. It’s for 5.5, but I’m sure it would still be applicable.

Yes Walter.
That’s it.
Didn’t we tell you that was one of the drawbacks of being a leader? You must have missed that part in the 800 page contract you signed when you joined the team.

[walter biscardi] “In the Features section are three travel matte tutorials I created last year”
Actually, it would probably be easier just to click on Walter’s head in the leaders’ lineup to find those tutorials.

July 1, 2005 at 4:14 pm in reply to: Has the Creative Cow Forum Format Change recently?Yes, we designed the profiles to NOT open a new window. It seems that any time a new window opens, the rating systems count you as having popups — and that’s a bad thing. So we designed it to just open in the frame set. The ads are also configured not to open a new window.
However, you can choose to right-click and choose “open link in a new window”, then just close the window when you’re done, or as Edward said, the back button is your friend. 🙂
