You should try run as admin before starting vegas.

  • every thing is alright now.

I fixed the problem by selecting “run as administartor” before starting vegas.
Now i can import footage but not drag it in to the time line. Strange :/

For the list of codecs i followed a tutorial here: https://www.mathworks.ch/matlabcentral/newsreader/view_thread/161082

In Gspot i get an error meassage:

Warning: DirectShow crashed while GSpot was attempting to obtain information about a codec.

This is usually due to damaged, misconfigured, conflicting, or poorly written codec drivers. It is possible, perhaps even likely, that other media players will crash when they attempt to play this file as well, as most of them will also use DirectShow. GSpot was able to intercept the crash, and has attempted to identify the codec or filter involved; uninstalling or reinstalling this codec or filter may solve the problem.

The codec was tentatively identified as:

    Unknown video codec #14

Does that have something with the sony vegas problem to do?

BTW i have Sony vegas pro 9.0e

the problem started after i installed roller coaster tycoon 3 :p
