Not sure what you are looking for?

    Closed Captioning for TV broadcast?
Closed Captioning for Webcast(like YouTube, QuickTime, WMP, RealPlayer)?
    Subtitles for DVD?

9.0d and beyond can create .scc and embedded CC into HD MXF
file for broadcast. Vegas 9.0d and 9.0e do not embedded CC into MPEG2 for SD broadcast.

After some thought, I think you might be talking about Capture.
Line21 decode/encode support is under development.

Vegas future versions will likely input/output Closed Caption for following:
SRT – for Subtitle or YouTube Captioning,
    QText – for QuickTime Captioning,
RealText – for Real Player Captioning,
SAMI – for Window Media Player Captioning,
    In addition to input of .mcc file upon suggestion of MacCaption;

If possible, please provide or refer us to the background of CAP:
Specification and sample. Then we will consider to directly input .cap files as Closed Captioning source in Vegas.

Yeah, you missed something. For this release, closed caption is
supported for HD Sony XDCAM MXF. It takes some time to extend
closed captioning support to other formats. Remember, 9.0d is
the first version to have closed captioning support. Thanks
    for your patience.
