I’m running hackintosh so I got PCI but no PCI-X. So it does matter like you say.

But the newer blackmagic solutions start at 200$, much more then the 90$ Blackmagic Decklink on ebay…

It doesn’t seem to be working. I tried a bunch of settings.

Here are some screenshots of them. I changed everything to stereo and… nothing…

If it’s so difficult to do this I don’t think PP seems worth the trouble…

Hi Angelo, thanks for your reply.

Is this workaround the only way?

I feel I should clarify that the two tracks only contain 2 mono audio tracks. So there are no multiple stereo tracks involved.

The direct audio recorded with the video was a single channel stereo.

When I put the clip on the timeline and try to adjust the volume by dragging the rubber band, you have to do it individually for both the L and the R channel.

Hey Matt, thanks a million!

I started kicking myself for buying a zoom and not investing in a Tascam :-).
I’m happy to know it was just FCP.

I’ll try to keep an eye out for those green bars in the future!
