Thank you! That did the trick. Wow…you talk about counter-intuitive. I would have never found that tiny little arrow had you not told me where it is. Vegas is awesome, but the user interface could stand some tweaks to make it more user friendly.

Ah ha! I figured it out. I just wasn’t selecting the portion of the timeline I wanted to render. I was rendering without selecting anything. Duh. Newbie here!

OK, well now I’m confused. So in Fireworks I can create the image dimensions as 720×480, import it into Vegas, drop the image on the top track, drop my video clip on the second track, and the title image will look right? The 720×532 thing is not necessary?

    Thanks,
    Norm

OK…so I create the title in those dimensions and not trim the canvas? That makes sense. What are my “safe areas”? I’m not familiar with that term…I suppose it means that part of the image should not be placed within a certain margin area? Is that right?

OK…is there a setting that says something along the lines of, “Display object in native dimensions,” or do I just have to fiddle with it manually? The only thing I see when I try to do this is that F in a circle that you have to stretch or shrink with the mouse, which is inexact.
