There’s always noise… ex1 is good but not the best. We need an example.

    It’s chromatic aberation. It’s a known ‘thing’.

The slowmotion is ofcourse a big plus!

Disadvantage of the 700 is that you can’t put it on your shoulder because the viewfinder is in a stupid place, in my opinion.

It depends on the situation and story you want to tell, but most of the time I always cut the hair off in the close up, emotion is in the face, not in the hair. (yes I’m bald myself 🙂

What I personally find wrong in your frame is how you placed the guy, horizontally. I would place the guy more to the right of the frame, so there’s more space on the left of the eyes than on the right. (suggestion, no bad intentions 🙂 )

I don’t have a solution, apart from using sony batteries. But i wanna add to the thread that I’m using the swit batteries on my EX1r (also with the dc input) and I’m very happy with those! I always ’empty’ the whole battery before full charging. Most of my shoots, i can do on 1 battery. (of course second is fully charged in my bag 🙂 )

  • Thanks!!! I had this problem today, not a big problem but nonetheless, very annoying. Thnx for solving!!

6 years fcp and still learning 🙂

I have the ex1r. I would want the ex3 because you can switch lenses. The pmw 200 is 50MB/s so better higher quality in theory.
Big disadvantage (for me) of the 200 is that you cant rotate the zoom handle.

So if you do a lot of green screen work or color correction, the 200 would be the best. If you want wide angle, take the ex3 so you can put on another lens. Or wait untill the pmw 300 arrives.

Maybe solved already but on my ex1r you can set the ‘b’ to manual white balance or ATW. I dont know where in the menu (cam not here at the moment), but it’s there on my ex1r.
