Worked Awesome. I didn’t even know that button was there in ETT. Thanks!

Got it – thanks walter!
Changed the Sys Format to 720p… picture shows up great on the monitor. We’re in business.Last q: I still can’t lay black/TC to this tape. I’ve set the timeline on some slug, used the TC preset on the deck to set 00:58:30:00… hit record, and get nothing. The red record button stays lit up, but the time code doesn’t start recording. Is there another switch I need to hit to record some simple TC?

You’re right – it’s showing 1080i. I’m assuming now that I’ve got to dive through the menus to change it to 720p?

Correction: the easy setup is Aja Kona 3: DVCPROHD 720p/59.94. Still no video, just green flicker.
If anything, I should be able to record time code, right? Yet that it just pauses after I hit record.
Appreciate your help.

Easy Setup is set to DVCPROHD 720p/59.94.
Video (on deck) is set to HDSDI.The preview monitor shows a constant refreshing green flicker / flash. No picture… only audio.

Before anyone can say, “do a search” I realized my error and saw that someone already asked this question not to long ago. My apologies! Thanks Burt for answering it on March 30!

February 6, 2008 at 8:53 pm in reply to: Can I drop frames during digitizing to create time lapse?[david bogie] “Let’s start over:
Time lapse of what, exactly?
What’s the end result supposed to be, exactly? “The spot is one where a woman is assembling something in a completely empty room. She is building a rather complicated piece, so while we see 8 hours of time lapse footage in 30 seconds we’ll watch her dart all over the place while this object is formed.
For the idea, as nuts and uncreative as it is now, the plug in from Nattress that was suggested seems to fit our need. (thanks Jeremy) I made a sample of it for the producer… hopefully it will persuade him to take an alternative technique for the spot.
Can anyone explain this: even rendered in the timeline, a 8 min dvcprohd clip set to play at 14,000% speed (resulting in a 5 second clip) would stumble, stop, and quit. Is that because the processor isn’t able to handle the amount of data in the HD?

Frustrated this morning, I did check my mouse, and you are correct… it was enabled for option clicking (like two right clicking buttons). Which is a good prank… if you ever want to ruin someones day…

Shane: “if the client is happy with the results, so be it.”
Such is life. Sigh. Thanks for the link though!
