You’re not completely off, you just didn’t read the part of the post where I wrote about using the GoPro studio software.
I have the professional version of the software installed, but it does not make a difference.
I contacted davinci help, and I am the only person who has requested this feature, so unlikely it will be implemented.
If you want this added, please email davincihelp@blackmagicdesign.com and request support for the meta data controls of Cineform. If enough people request for it, it can be implemented.

shift click on all the clips in the render bin. they should all then have a green frame around them.
then hit render.
been there, done that… found a solution. 😉

Confirmed with BM support that this is a bug that needs to be fixed.

yes, that’s what my current workflow is.
Resolve > HD 1920×1080 Prores
After Effects > SD Mpeg-2 (much slower to render than resolve’s HD)
Encore > SD DVDWould love to eliminate the middle man (AE). Encore’s transcoding is faster, but doesn’t do a centre crop, only a rescale with letterbox bars.

I am doing an hd to sd down convert. Client wants an sd file as well as a dvd version.

Confirming the Support page is not working for me either.
None of the drop down menus open any options.

I have reported this issue as well, but they have not been able to duplicate it.
The only way I’ve been able to get the speed change to work:
1. Apply speed change (ie. 75% for 18fps).
2. stretch the clip to the full length
– notice the clip does a freeze frame where you extended it from.
3. apply speed change again at 75%.
– notice the freeze frame is gone.Please fix!

Is it at all possible to directly create MPEG2 DVD files straight from resolve?

Ideally, I would like to stay within resolve to do the speed changes to avoid having to do multiple renders.
starting to consider moving into cs6 with speedgrade just for the ability to push the project into AE for any additional changes with ease.
