    Well,

After doing all the research we have decided to edit with the BT-LH1700W. Haven’t seen it yet, but it’s on the way.

I thought about using Dells or Apple Displays, or even going the consumer LCD route, but at this point we no longer have to compromise and charge accordingly.

If you can afford it- go pro.

    Hi Gary,

I’ve heard others claim that the MPEG Streamclip conversions take about real time on a dual 2.5

    Anyone with a different experience?

In other words, to get HDV to DVC Pro HD…

Better to convert M2T via MPEG Streamclip

    or

    Digitize tape via Kona LH

November 3, 2006 at 7:05 pm in reply to: Wiggler for FCP?

Well, actually rather than applying the wiggler to a layer it’s more like applying a randomizer to keyframes. In AE it’s great because you can apply the wiggler to any parameter. The flicker I was refereing to earlier was more like a film flicker.

I guess I just have to “request a feature” via Apple.

    Thanks all for your input!

  • Hi Wayne- I’m not reffering to the quality of the render. If you Command-J a selected clip you will see a “blend frames” checkbox.

What I want is to have the default unchecked at all times.

So if one exports a flash file doesn’t one need to create the skin and transport controls? Or do the controls appear automatically?

As I understand it you can export the video for flash but one still needs a macromedia application to create the interface. So the question is- which application?

check out Libec at B&H. They have a couple models – not too pricey. We use the LS-55 but they make an LS-22 which should suffice.

Do the irivers work on a mac? Does it just show up as a hard drive or does one need special software to “see” what is on the thing?

I’ve been having the same porblem and am glad you asked. The in time is always correct on my system. It’s the out time that mysteriously gets truncated. The batch capture always stops short around 50 seconds.

The deck is the Sony WV-DR5 (Japanese Model)

My point is that I it’s misleading to refer to “grain” when discussing video unless trying to add it in post.

BTW I think your getting me confused with the other member who responded to your first post!
