BTW… thought I should add that there are 2 clips in this project. one that is 2 minutes and one that is 2 hours (wedding film). According to Encore, still plenty of room on the BD (it’s 720p footage). I looked further and it does look like each clip did successfully get transcoded so I guess this is happening when it tries to build the BD.

Hi Craig, thx so much for the response! As far as the numbering system goes, we named that camera AAAA (hence those letters before the clip#) and then set the starting number for each shoot at 0001. I will def. check next time if it’s renaming them in the clip browser vs. the camera. so weird!

I use the 5D all the time – the most amazing camera in my arsenal (and that’s even compared w/our Sony EX1’s). If it’s a small project I do convert the files to Apple Prores… BUT….

Compressor always quits if I try to do too many clips at once. And that’s on my 8core system. I’ve tried it on other systems too and same thing happens. This is a major bummer because having to babysit compressor really sucks.

AWESOME IDEA!! I love it!!! thanks for the advice! I’m even contemplating going to London next week (for other reasons) but I would film all around the city (which I know well) w/my EX1 and edit a trailer, etc. with that footage too.

    this helps!!

    Julie,

    A) The cause for this error is either one of all of the following:

    1. Upgraded from Magic Bullet Editors v1 and still have v1 files on your system.

    2. Magic Bullet Editors 2.0 was at one point installed on your current setup.

    3. Magic Bullet Editors 2.1 was at one point installed on your current setup

    B) To fix this issue, you must uninstall all your Magic Bullet Editors files and re-install with Magic Bullet Editors v2.1.1. Magic Bullet Editors v2.1.1 is required for your current setup (Final Cut Pro 5.1-6.0).

    C) View Magic Bullet Editors v2.1.1 installation instructions here:
