I use QT7 and export h.264 codec at 10,000kbps. Am happy with the results and the file size is about a tenth or so of the original file size.

Will be interesting to see what other people do though.

Firstly, I don’t recall at any point talking about long tiresome rants. But hey ho, I guess i’m just using it [language] wrong.

Secondly, that snort left a big bogey hanging out your left nostril. Bit minging bill… at least round this way.

Actually, I don’t care what anyone else thinks about thew software I use. I thought that was quite apparent from the post. But hey ho, once a troll and all that.

You come across like my wife’s ex husband. That isn’t a compliment.

Cheers John, but i’ll wait. I have the ability to c*** things up and waiting is fine… and in fact preferable to messing things up. As I said before, mainly wanted to know if I could just un-reference it. As i can’t I simply have to pay more attention when setting things up so I don’t get myself into this position 🙂

I did actually consider this but then I thought “will the fact I have deleted one of the referenced events screw up my open project?” and decided to see if there was a more sensible way built in to simply un-reference an event.

It isn’t a huge deal as I can simply wait until this job is done and delete them together, but it is a bit frustrating not being able to simply un-reference an event from a project.

    Thanks though.

Sadly for me, I am not you, and I do use DVD studio and I had QT7 pre-installed (albeit I had to dig deep to get it out of utilities on my recent mac pro which i got about 2 years ago.

Also, sadly for me, I am not you so I still want QT7 installed because it has functionality QTX doesn’t have and works better for me than other conversion apps I have.

So, I’m still glad FCS works in Mavericks, I still want QT7 on the new mac and I have no idea if it would or wouldn’t run on the new mac because my head is devoid of that sort of information or the ability to guesstimate through technical knoweldge.

That’s good to know. Despite DVD being a redundant thing of the past, some of us still need to deliver via it and I wanted to know if I could reinstall DVD Studio on a new mac pro (with mavericks).

Also hoping the new mac pros will be able to run (and have pre-installed) QT7.
