Well? Does the old FCP work under Mavericks?
Major X user but I still do one thing in the old Final Cut Pro so I can’t update to Mavericks until I know that the old FCP isn’t broken under the new OS.

I keep a fully backed up clone just in case I need to change my startup disk to a rolled back version.

That’s good to know. Despite DVD being a redundant thing of the past, some of us still need to deliver via it and I wanted to know if I could reinstall DVD Studio on a new mac pro (with mavericks).
Also hoping the new mac pros will be able to run (and have pre-installed) QT7.

Sadly for me, I am not you, and I do use DVD studio and I had QT7 pre-installed (albeit I had to dig deep to get it out of utilities on my recent mac pro which i got about 2 years ago.
Also, sadly for me, I am not you so I still want QT7 installed because it has functionality QTX doesn’t have and works better for me than other conversion apps I have.
So, I’m still glad FCS works in Mavericks, I still want QT7 on the new mac and I have no idea if it would or wouldn’t run on the new mac because my head is devoid of that sort of information or the ability to guesstimate through technical knoweldge.

I have fcp 2 working with maverick, however it will not let me update my final cut so running first version 6.0.1.
