    hey dan,

i got to tell you, when working on my current project i was searching a lot for expressions and other ae related stuff, i always bumped into one of your posts and usually you were providing the answer to the problem.. impressive and great. thanks for that.. : )

your guess concerning my current problem ain’t the solution, sadly..
i am aware of the create- a- frame-behind-the-last-frame-set-by-timeremap-and-replace-said-frame-with-your-newly-created-frame issue ..

my loop does not suffer a gap but a mashup of all the frames the initial animation consists of, a character is walking (say 7 frames) and in the looped composition at some point all 7 frames are piled up, this happens repeatedly

thanks for the effort though ..

turns out that once this issue occurs in the project and i render the clip anyway, then i will have the mashup in the video file as well

but if i restart ae and reopen the project before rendering the file comes out clean…

    strange

depending on what i’ve tracked (translation/scale+rotation/shear/perspective) it affects anchor point/ position/ scale / rotation … i can paste it on whatever layer i want to… and as i’ve said before .. i’ve only tracked translation ..

gee … to be honest i don’t understand a word of that code … i simply know nothing about expressions .. i only knew about the possibility to stabilize y axis using expressions cause some ae crack told me so years ago… 🙂

i was hoping someone could walk me through all the necessary steps… might be too much to ask ..

i’ve got my tracking data copied to the clipboard… not knowing where to put it and how to make the necessary changes to it…

    i’m sorry to ask that much… i’m just lost…

    thx juergen

    hello,

i’m working on an imac i7 with 8 gb ram and i’m not using multiple drives, plenty of space left on the 1 tb hd … any way i can increase ae’s cache/ temporary hd space?

or might energy saver be causing problems with rendering?

    greetings

    juergen

  • right now i’m using imagineer’s mocha for after effects but the human body (especially when movement is involved) is hard work…
keying didn’t work well… too diverse backgrounds… too similar colors in background and foreground..etc.

i think i’ll stick with the idea of doing hair in close up shots with fluid mask .. gonna be a lot of time i’ll spend on drawing masks 🙂

  • hmm… thanks for your reply…

fluidmaks is way superior to rotobrush’s “improved edges” … spent a little time on rotobrush never got clean results though …
