the HDLink isn’t an interface card. It converts HD-SDI to HDMI/displayport. It’s not what you need. You should get the Decklink Extreme 3D.

I meant how are you feeding the 4k signal out of Resolve, but it sounds like you’re feeding 2k. I don’t know if I’d call that real time 4k, but it does show the potential is there. Once the hardware (i.e. interface cards) catch up.

Yes they are offering that deal. No there don’t seem to be any gotchas. You should go for it if you want to work on avid.

This is what I-frame codecs (like prores) are all about. Each frame is a unique & individual snowflake, no matter what came before it.

According to the digital rebellion video data rate calculator a 720p movia of 40mintes in length in prores 422, should be 21+ GBs. So at 18.2 you’re way ahead of the game.

The reason the version without a still in sequence is ONLY 1gig is because the solid black signal allowed for a unique efficiency in the ProRes codec. Other content won’t allow this. Doesn’t matter if it’s still or moving.
Couple of other thing. You can open a still in the viewer and type in a longer running time. Using the speed effect is the wrong way to do this.

Resolve 9 will keep audio. You could try copying the audio track from the original in QuickTime Pro.

Yes. Probably better to offline on a lighter codec and then reconnect to the PR444. But you could pull it off native, maybe not well, but passable.

Haven’t worked with that camera, but resolve does support cinemaDNG which that camera records.
