    Hi All,

    I see AVID is offering Symphony for $999 (until June 15th) to those switching from FCP7. This is something I’m seriously considering. Anything I should know about this deal, like mandatory extras?

    Yes they are offering that deal. No there don’t seem to be any gotchas. You should go for it if you want to work on avid.

    I was an Avid editor for 10 years, went to FCP for 5, now back to Avid. Definitely go with Symphony – it’s the best out there.
