Standard Candle Test result:
2 nodes = 22
4 nodes =13
6 nodes = 10
12 nodes = 5
NR 4 = 8
NR 3 = 5
NR 2 = 2
NR 1 = 1Like a talking dog.. it’s amazing it can happen at all. 😉
There could probably be a lot done to optimize performance. Looking forward to seeing if there is some mention of this model in the DaVinci config guide.

June 19, 2012 at 1:43 pm in reply to: Red Rocket no working in OSX 10.7.4 with Resolve 8.2b3Could you try swapping raid card and rocket? Or changing the slot rocket is in. Did this work properly before 10.7.4 update?

Looks like a stock 580. Thanks for posting Rohit. Interesting, so the overclocked 680 has performance similar to that of a standard 580. I’d imagine then the best or one of the best performing cards for resolve might be an overclocked 580. Like the GTX 580 3gb classified. Of course that card could never run in a MacPro, it would require too much power and produce too much heat. But for those running cubix or going to windows, looks like a good choice.

June 19, 2012 at 6:44 am in reply to: AE ray trace engine/CUDA GPU performance comparisonThe nvidea drivers added support for pc cards on the Mac. The caveat is that boot screen doesn’t display. But you can add the card as a secondary card and not connect the GUI display to it and still use it for CUDA, or you can buy a card from macvidcards with efi firmware modded on that allows support durring boot.
