To answer your question. You need a BMD/thunderbolt interface device with component output. I believe the ultrastudio does this. Alternatively you could use a mini monitor and an sdi to analog mini convertor.

Try setting your video output to 8bit. It could be afew different things. What exactly is performance like?

Resolve operates in 32bit float. That means you can have data below black and above white. This is handy for say recovering information lost in highlights or shadows, the qualifiers respond in correspondence with the data resolve is able to differentiate.

What application generated the DPX? This is an issue with DPX flagged as v2 where the data is expected to be BGR, but is sometimes actually RGB. Easy fix for you is to switch the B-R channels.
