more than 15 years later, this annoying behaviour is still there…
Any configuration, shortcut or workaround to stop play head in the last frame played?

Hi again!
I just remembered another workaround.
You can run directly FCP7 with Retroactive:

Unfortunately is discontinued, but you can run it on Macs with MacOs Sonoma or earlier.

Hi Dixon.
Another option is to transform your projects vía XML from FCP to FCPX with SendtoX App.
But the problem is that if you don’t have the XML version of your projects, you’ll need to run anywhere a FCP7, even without footage, plugins, etc. And old slow mac running FCP7 is enough.

In addition to this: does exist a channel blur non 360?
I only find the 360 version and I need to blur only the alpha cannel.

Clips have identical duration, but different name. If I use the Replace function the in point is not applied so it doesn’t work whatever function I select (Replace, from begging, from end…)

Compound clip could be the better option, I will try.

Thank you very much guys!!

I know FCPX is not a good tool for colour grading, but if the Apple engineers decided to add this feature, FCPX will grow. With something like this colour grade will be an option in FCPX. Yes I know, Davinci or others always be better option, but sometimes we only need a basic colour grade.

AFX have this option via expressions, and is really useful.
