    Hi all!!

I’ve just discovered the behaviour of the scale parameter in FCPx and I think it is annoying, or I need to know something more about this.

The question is that when you scale some footage to 100% this not means you are in the limit of the scale range to overscale it. Or Pixel by Pixel scale. It means you fit the canvas.
In my situation I am working in a 1080 project, and my footage is bigger: 2400×1350
When I use this footage in the timeline it is scaled to feet the canvas, but it appears as 100% when it is scaled under 100% for sure.
When I try to rescale and recompose it avoiding going beyond real 100% I didn’t find any way to know if I am overscaling the footage.

Any idea? Something wrong in my method?
    Thanks a lot

Change the Soriano conform to “none” and then scale. Your footage will then be a 1:1 scale relative to the timeline.

Yes, Soriano. You don’t know it? 🙂

Change the Spatial Conform to “none” in the inspector.
