Hi Guys..

I have the same problem almost every day.. and it’s really wired, This is what I have.
There are 3 different bays working all same setup and software latest versions of all OS, FCP and more, I have I Xserve for share working files where, and also a XserveRaid where a have my media, render files and auto save vault

Most of the time every morning all is working fine, I can open, save and autosave my projects to the server from all 3 stations, but magically afternoon, the problems start, mean I have the Unknown File error while saving, and also the kind of same error while auto save.

Ok, that what I lately try..

DVCpro concect directly to a monitor true Y-Cb-Cr and composite outputs looks ok,

DVCpro connected to IO true composite, with uncompress 8 and 10 bits looks ok

BetaSP connected to IO true Y-Cb-Cr, with uncompress 8 and 10 Betacam SMPT codec looks ok

DVCpro connected to Beta SP and then to IO true Y-Cb-Cr with uncompress 8 and 10 Betacam SMPT codec looks ok

DVCpro connected to IO true Y-Cb-Cr, with uncompress 8 and 10 Betacam SMPT codec looks pink

DVCpro connected to IO true Y-Cb-Cr, with uncompress 8 and 10 Betacam Betacam codec looks light pink

I also use the IO control panel to adjust the levels but when start FCP its ignored.

Any clues

Yes Richard, AJA support send me a plugin for FCP.. after that everything works smooth. I have the file that works for my IO, so I you want to try It I can forward it to you….Let me konw.

As you said AJA sendme the patch and works perfectly… so theres no need to change any configuration… just intall the patch..

Unfortunatly theres only few post on this isue that cause me a lot of down time in my system..

But thats the post world..

I’m starting my post house, and most likely my clients give me the stock on digibeta, but they are start sending all kind of stuff, like HDV, DVCproHD and HDCam.

Also I just bought an HDV camera the HDR-FX1 to star playing with HD, so now I looking to the right HD Card.

So let see if I understand (sorry) the best for the Kona 2 is the upconvert that means I can upgrade SD to HD right.. and that’s something the Kona LH doesn

Thanks Ben.. but as I see, any SDI monitor is arround 2,000 + the SDI card another 1,500. What I’m also thinking is a SDI to DVI converter hooked to a Plasma monitor?

—The cheap way is to go FCP ‘View>video playback>Digital Cinema Desktop Preview’.

I dont see this option, the only ones that I see is for the ProIO. Do I need any plugin or upgrade, Im running FCP 5.0.3
