Panasonic RS442 capture problem on FCP 5+

Hi Juan –
You need a software patch from AJA. You must call AJA support to get this. I urge AJA to post this patch on their website permanently.

I am greatful to AJA for developing this patch, so you can use the older Panasonic DVCPro VTR’s with FCP with no issues.

Did you try “Panasonic RS-422” instead of “Sony RS-422” inside the device setting?

As you said AJA sendme the patch and works perfectly… so theres no need to change any configuration… just intall the patch..

Unfortunatly theres only few post on this isue that cause me a lot of down time in my system..

But thats the post world..

Just to confirm, I have the same exact same problem with the Panasonic D640 deck, FCP 5.04 and a AJA Kona LH card.

I’m gonna email Kona support and see how to obtain the driver.

Yes Richard, AJA support send me a plugin for FCP.. after that everything works smooth. I have the file that works for my IO, so I you want to try It I can forward it to you….Let me konw.
