wow bro you are really waiting a miracle!! ^^
Can you tell us the resolution of your footage? pixel aspect ratio?… but anyway, based in my experience, mastering requires disk speace if u dedide no compression option or a nice codec dependig which is your otiginal footage.
Tips: Use QT no compressión codec for maximun quality or H264 for hd mastering. Last option may can be divx pro hd for less quality but low hd space equirements.

I hope it helps you bro.
    luck.

1st steep you must to be sure the m2v codec is *installed on pc, start the Adobe media Econder file/open select your m2v file, select format (qt), select preset/edit preset (compression none)… Voila!

    * When premiere is installed on pc, check the autoinstall codecs is complete. Checking the m2v codec is working: create a new project with HDV sequence and import the m2v file into the project, if premiere works with m2v, Encoder works too.

  • May the only one “universal best compression” is “AVI or QT uncompressed” ^^

Please tell us what software are you using… If you are using aftereffects interpret footage to 25fps before use it in timeline. If you are using premiere render it in AE (interpreting footage) before use it in the premiere timeline.

    Hope this helps you.

Usually u must render an m2v or mpg file to be player directly in dvd´s but you must edit the setiings of file to your custom size if dvd player hardware donesnt itseft.

Tip: render your avi file uncompresed and use some dvd toaster like nero or ulead dvd workshop.
