so what would you guys recommend for monitoring hvx footage? i’d like to take advantage of 1080p footage especially. i don’t think the panny 17″ will handle that type of rez will it? any other suggestions? thanks!

thanks walter. so would a sata pc card w/external sata hd be more beneficial over a firewire 800 g-raid for dvcprohd laptop editing? which route would you go? thanks once again.

walter, do you think fibre channel is overkill for dvcprohd? or will there be benefit to a significant amount of rt? i will be working exclusively w/ dvcprohd. both laptop and g5 tower. what type of storage is recommended? thanks!

thank you shane. i’m leaning toward the sata raids as well. how many streams of rt are you getting w/ the g-raids? also, any recommendation on an external sata raid? much appreciation!

barry, i don’t know if offloading and transfer is different, but in dvxuser you mentioned we no longer can offload to usb but to firewire only. confused here..thanks!
