Thanks John that does sound like the way to go but one question how would I create a group of nulls and link them to a mater like you did. Any tutorials floating around on that?

When you open up tracker controlls you could select rotation and then could select two marks to track. I would track the footage then apply it to a null object then parent the bg to the null.

I had the same problem I changed my output/render settings to png sequence and render no fields and brought that into avid as a autodetect sequence no fields.

I guess my problem wasn’t AE it is exporting the image/mov with an alpha and having the program I export it into reconize the alpha such as photoshop.
