    Thanks,
The Mac Book Pro is a 2.93 GHz Intel Core Duo
    w/4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Memory
The OS is 10.5.8 and it does have a SxS Express slot.
The video files are from a Sony EX3 (1080p).
The amount of raw data will be roughly 10 hours of
shooting @ 1920 x 1080 to be edited down to various
    2 minute segments.
I’ll using AfterEffects for various text and layering composites.
I’d like to be able edit with a real-time look at what I’m editing.
So I guess speed is the priority.
    What RAID would be best.

    Perhaps.
Thanks. What I was seeing in the Log and Transfer window (from FCP 6.06) was the
“Spanned” version (the Master clip) until last night.
For some reason, I am only seeing the sub clips (the 12-13 minute clips).
Could I have inadvertently gotten rid of the Master Clip somehow?
(During import thru Log and Transfer I did double click the BPAV and CPL folders making
sure the media was there. Could that have affected the import?)

    Thanks.
ClipBrowser with CRC (CRC is what?) is that a download from the Sony site?

The details of this is the 16 g SxS card in slot B got entirely used up as one clip, (about 45 minutes worth) and then it carried over to slot A (for about another 8 minutes). I left the camera running for continuos sound. When I put the card in my MacBook Pro EXpress Card slot, FCP (6.06) it found card B in “Log and Transfer” but
instead of one 45 minute clip, it had made several 13 minute clips.
No media missing. But there was a sizable audio “pop” between one of the segments. I know it was not my mic, or a recorded “pop” because I reloaded the 45 minute clip from card B using a firewire cable from the
EX3 into my MacPro computer, where I use FCP 7.
The file, in this case, was revealed in Log and Transfer as one big 45 minute clip.
I then went to the point where the two segments had made a “pop” and there wasn’t any “pop” at all.
I don’t know why FCP 6.06 had created multiple clips on its own!

How much is a AJA Kona board? And, is that Kona,
as in the town north of Captain Cook on the west
    side of the Big Island?
    Thanks (and Aloha)

    Thanks for getting back.
What format would you use for expeditious FTP?
This is for broadcast to cable.
    Would you use Compressor?
    What settings from FCP?
These are 4 minute HD segments for broadcast
    shot in native AVCHD-PH.
    Thanks,
    Joe C.
