I’ve got various Apple Pro Rezz (HQ) clips at 16×9 (1920×1080)
and I would like to down convert them to 4×3 (720×480) for a
project that requires these SD ratios.
What’s my best way of doing this?
My camera is a Panasonic ACVHD camera, which doesn’t have
an SD setting. Is there a way to output these massive clips
    into something smaller?
    Thanks,
    Joe C.

This is why we have AJA Kona boards. It does the downconvert in realtime. So we edit in HD and then can output in both HD and SD in realtime.

If you’re trying to do this in the computer, then use Compressor. And be prepared for lots and lots of rendering time.

How much is a AJA Kona board? And, is that Kona,
as in the town north of Captain Cook on the west
    side of the Big Island?
    Thanks (and Aloha)

If u don’t have a need for this all the time then just use compressor. Capture & edit in HD. Output reference file and load into compressor and select SD 4X3 hit render over nite.
