Like some users have noted on the SCS forum, it seems that in VPro 12 the Auto Preview button stays on, when you’re in Project Media. It doesn’t now stay on, when you’re in Explorer. Also when hovering over the icon in the latter it shows ‘Turn On/Off Auto Preview Play’ vs ‘Auto Preview’ in Project Media.

Note that you’ll find the Edit Details option only in Vegas Pro.

There does seem to be some inconsistency about what My Account / My Software and clicking the Buy Now shows. I for one did get a couple of days ago what Mike describes. Now I get the promotional price only through the special e-mail link.

there’s no such thing as Sony Vegas Pro Movie Studio 12 as far as I know. There’s Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12 though.
Your points 1 to 12 seem like worthwhile advice. I would change 13) though like this: Buy a legit download or copy. -

note that (Vegas) Movie Studio software creates *.vf files, like John R says in his post. The *.veg files are VegasPro only. -
