  • Where do rendered files go with Make Movie wizard?

I’m working with Sony Vegas HD Movie Studio Platinum v11.0. I’m on Windows 7 Professional. The video data (AVCHD) I’m working with is stored on a separate drive (E:). Vegas is installed on the system drive (C:). I’ve been burning lots of DVDs with the Make Movie wizard, and clearly the renders are going somewhere onto the C: drive. But for the life of me, I can’t find them. Is there some function in Vegas that can tell me where they go, or that I can change or control? My C: drive is almost full, and I would really like to find all these renders and erase them. But I can find no evidence that they actually exist, other than the fact that my C: drive is full to the point of almost unuseable.

    Ken,
see in Options/Preferences/General what is your Temporary files folder. You probably need to display your Hidden files and folders. https://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Show-hidden-files

Thank you Jorma. It was indeed a hidden folder, which would explain why I couldn’t find it or navigate to it. The only way I could get to it was to do a search for *.wav files on the C: drive, then open that folder from the search window. And there they all were. Easy fix, but a little ridiculous on Sony’s part to make it such an Easter Egg hunt to find them. Thanks man.
