i use 60 frames per second when the shot use a green sreen other wise 1080p 30fps its the standard, you can also shoot at 60p and render your final file at 30p so it look “sharper” (in a good way) because you have more frames to work with, also take in mind your bitrate if shooting 60p. i have seen others use 60p if its a fast action scene or there is too much movement so 60p helps with less motion blur in this case.

30p vs 60p it´s a matter of personal preference because not everyone its used to 60p it looks “different” for the people like more “smooth” (most people it´s not used to it)
if you can, try shooting 60p and for your export use 30p, i personally do it that way…

you could try recording at 60 FPS wich is a more common framerate

the problem is that you are missing some keyframes on the video check you framerate on your screen recorder program or also the bitrate, one of those to values may be to high, you can also try updating your codecs i use klite mega codec pack and works very well

  • forgot to tell you if color reproduction is priority check the dell ultra shap u2413 is part of dell premier color monitors and you will find it for 300-400 usd on ebay amazon or newegg

  • for sony vegas i would recommend the ati amd radeon 290x, if budget is priority you can look for a saphire 290x on ebay for about 200-250 usd

newer nvida graphics cards arquitectures like kepler and maxwell dont get along very well with sony vegas, i personally have a quadro k600 and sony vegas doesnt make use of it. my gpu usage is about 8%

for the monitor you can look for a dell ultra sharp series, like the Dell U2412M wich are around 200 usd and have very decent color acuracy

  • i tried disabling all gpu acceleration and my render time was 40 min. approx.
also i noticed that when the video renders a part that is green screen my cpu usage is only 50% and when is other kind of footage (not green screen) it goes up to 100%, im using the chroma key plugin that is built in sony vegas could be that the issue?

Your best bang for the buck is and check for the 290 or 290x on eBay the are around $200, the 600 series and up to the 900 series of nvidia don’t get along very well with vegas

  • I am between the r9 290 or the290x from sapphire there’s no best choice for open cl performance unless it’s a Titan X
