I do remember a window popping up mentioning something about settings and changing the name to old but I was in a hurry and didn’t read the full message. Because I’m an idiot. Is it possible that this might have something to do with my preferences? Where are my preferences saved?

  • That is probably it. Some who reported the problem said they were running the audio through a mono setup. You say using the Fill Right or Fill Left effect. How do you decide which to use?

My card only has the HMDI In, HMDI Out and an S-Video port. I don’t see any audio ports on the card.

The other problem is that I would have to switch the speakers everytime I changed projects. When I capture directly from the camera in Premiere, the Adobe Playback option works just fine, audio runs through the speakers. I only have this problem when I capture audio/video from the Blackmagic card and/or work in Projects that were started with the Blackmagic settings. Does Premiere auto assign settings to project files when you create them that cannot be changed?

That was the first thing I did. It’s still not working.

Alright, proxies did not work. But I found a single problem layer and just straight up deleted it. Going to render it out and see what happens.

But lots of good advice in this thread.

I just discovered proxies. Going to try and proxy my clips and see what happens.

I rendered out an image sequence and was able to complete it after it failed and I picked it back up where it left off.

I found my problem though. I am working with some HD footage and when I turn off the layers, it renders just fine. I have the layers scaled way down. Is it possible to get AE to interpret or sample the footage at a lower resolution? I could render out the clips at a smaller resolution but well, I don’t want to.

Well the machine has 6 gigs of RAM but I had to go for the 32 bit version of Windows 7 because the 64 bit wasn’t working with our Blackmagic Capture Card. That’s a whole other story, don’t get me started on that.

As for multi-processing, that was the first thing I turned off. I noticed my problem always occured at frame 60 but I still can’t figure out what layer is causing it. All of my layers have already started so its not something new introduced into the scene. I just don’t know.
