  • Luke thanks for your response,

Please don’t take this as a trolling response, but I am finding the BMD website to be somewhat hard to keep up with. Basically what you and the support site are both saying is that ALL of the following are current configs:

    OSX 10.4.2 / QT 7.0.3 / FCP 5.0.3 / BMD 5.1.2 – config. for #1 support question “OSX 10.4” on support page Nov 24th 05
    OSX 10.4.3 / QT 7.0.3 / FCP 5.0.3 / BMD 5.1.2 – config. from your link above Nov 25th 05
    OSX 10.4.3 / QT 7.0.3 / FCP 5.0.4 / BMD 5.2.4 – config. found under “all software & codecs” link from main page Dec 21st 05

I’d just like to know what seems to be the most stable for people right now (at least with Decklink Extreme and SP card versions).

    Thanks,
    Jon

  • Ok- I just found this on another COW thread:

“There is a FCP plug in that’s available that will reduce the polling interval of the RS422 signal from FCP to the deck, which was increased in FCP 5, but causes problems with primarily Panasonic decks.
We have a copy of the file, which was passed to us from AJA, please email me for it.
    oh@techsuperpowers.com.
Thanks to Will @ AJA Tech Support for this resolution. ”

I can’t seem to reach this fellow. If anyone has this plugin, could they please email it to me at: jon@cpd2.usu.edu

    Thanks All!

Thanks for the input guys- but a few questions for Mike and Jeremy. Mike- which converters specifically do you refer to on your weblink? All I really see are S to RCA adapters. And Jeremy, how exactly does this cable interface with the decklink? The Y (of Y/C) I assume will come from the Decklink Y, but what about the chroma? How do I get the Y-B and Y-R signals combined?

For a little more clarification- again what I am trying to accomplish is Component Y, Y-R, Y-B OUTPUT from the decklink to S-Vid (Y/C) INPUT on my 9″ pro monitor (much higher quality than using the Y cable in composite mode -which I am currently using)

    Thanks!

    Jon
