    Thank you Dan. That seems to be working fairly well. One issue I see is that if the original layer postion breaks the boundary of the comp, it breaks the expression. I don’t think that’ll be a problem though for what I’m trying to do.

    Can you tell me what’s going on here? I can make out the basic gist but am still having trouble understanding all of the code.

    I would like to know how this works so I can try implementing the same idea for other things, like placing an object x number of pixels from the left edge of some type or scaling up type to fill a comp.

    Thanks you sir, That works beautifully.

    A second part to that: Is there a way to tell a parameter to be a certain value at one time and another value at another time?

    Basically similar to setting hold keyframes.

    so at
    0 sec = 100
    1 sec = 200

    but without the linear change?
    I tryed to use AE expression reference library but it’s so hard to find what I’m looking for.

    It doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the source footage or resolution.

    I just did a test where I rendered out a 10 frame sequence, just a solid with the number effect labeling the frames 1 thru 10. In quicktime each frame is accounted for. When I bring that rendered quicktime into AE and drop it into a comp, It makes a 10 frame sequence but goes 1,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. I tried it both at 720 and 1080.

    I now have a new problem. What If I don’t want C to equal the distance betweem A and B. I want to be able to move C around but keep it at the correct angle?

    Just wanted to add that the error I receive is:

    Bad method arguments: second argument to div() must be a scalar

    And also Is there a way to add easing to these moves?
