I heard it was bad to shoot 30 and export in 24 so why is it okay to shoot 60 and export in 30?

Also how will 24 exported at 30 look specifically, I’m trying to get a fundamental understanding of the effects of doing this.

Yes! Very cool video.

When you say they double the frame rate:

What frame rate did they likely shoot at originally?

And then, Did they then “Interpret Footage” to twice the original in post? Or did they just alter the speed/duration?

So are you saying I could have shot entirely in 24p and slowed it down to 40% in the 24p sequence?

Or shot in 60p like I did and slow it down in a 60p sequence?

(I have CS5.5 I don’t have the money for CC at the moment)

Sorry, I should have clarified.

The fruit is not CG it is real. It is hanging on a string. The sword hit is real so he doesn’t need to paint the sword out to make it look like it hits. It actually does slice the fruit in half.

So how would he paint in the background behind the orange? I know of the wire removal tool but I’m not sure how to do it to something the size and shape of an orange.

It’s like you said after looking at the videos. He replaced them with his own prop. My question now then is how did he remove the original?

Just painstaking rotoscoping? And how did he fill in the background (like when he lifts the friends box off the shelf.
