I use MPEG Streamclip (https://www.squared5.com) all the time to convert DVD vob files to AVI. The software is free and works great. It’s available for windows and macs. Good luck.

Thank you so much. I am constantly learning from you. I will give your suggestions a try.

If you don’t mind me asking another question, is there any easier way that changing the levels on each layer one at a time. I have about 20 or so layer with the red text.
