    Hi atleditor,

Without more details, it’s hard to say. The general advice is to be sure you’re using the latest version and the latest driver for your video card.

    Hi Joe,

The image you emailed to me helps. It looks pretty normal, but you can make it better.

    1) You can fix the stair stepping on the far side of the A by increasing the antialiasing setting.

    2) You can make the curved sections smoother by moving the smoothness slider to a smaller number or by manually typing in a smaller number.

    3) You said you are using the same material for the faces and edges. That’s fine, but don’t expect the reflected image to wrap from the front face to the bevels and sides… the sides are mapped differently than the front and rear faces. What you see is normal.

    Does this help?

    Joe,

You could post a screen shot to help us figure out your texturing issue. it may just be that your division line between where one material begins and the other ends is not at the corner of the bevel. Look at the object cross section to find out.

As for shine, I would play with the transfer modes and transparency settings in the shine plug-in controls.

    Adam,

Invigorator doesn’t do boolean functions. However, you so have some options. If you make a compound path, you can cut holes in shapes.

If you want to make a hole in the face or edge of an object, you can create a transparency map and apply it to that surface.

    Does this help?

    Mark,

What version of Invigorator are you using? Older versions do require legacy Illustrator files.

Send me your file if you want. jokerstrom1 (at) mac.com.

    Hi Daveyg,

My first thought was maybe you could add an object immediately below the text, the same height as the tallest letter and make that object invisible, either by 100% transparent materials or by selecting the object and clicking the visibility box.Create a second pose then rotate all of the objects on their common center.

The common vertical center should be at the bottom of the text.

  • Hi Julian,

Thanks for the compliment and yes, it would be faster. As I mentioned, only some of the attributes use positive and negative numbers.

    Mark,

My first guess is that you need to resave the Illustrator (text converted to outlines) file in Illustrator format, but be sure the “use compression” check box is unchecked.

    Les,

This may be due to the fact that Motion is universal binary.. I don’t believe Stackwerks is. It wouldn’t hurt to be sure you’re using the latest version of Stackwerks by visiting zaxwerks.com.
