EDIT: something is still wrong. Its looks great in AME Output, but the resulting file is letterboxed. That is, it has black bands across top and bottom.

    What am i missing?

    Thanks for the reply,
what you say is exactly what i’m facing…

However, i am still looking for a good example.
I have seen many amature movies with lots of page-turn transistions for example, but i’d like to see some professional examples.

If you know of a link or site with movies you’d be proud of please let me know.

    Thanks, J

    Thanks for the reply.

If i apply Warp to just my 8 seconds of spaz-hand can i somehow render it back into my 3 minutes. Then i can do a gently warp on the 3 minutes…

Sorry to be such a noob.

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Stupid F-in AE & F-in Adobe – the efffin AE crashed, the link from PremierePro lost its end, and the original clip on the time line disappeared.

Its bad enough the SHI$%Y program crashes, but why drag down so many others when it does ?!?!?!?!?!

    UPDATE
i managed to recover and relink etc. and get back to where i was.

So i applied the Tracker (Stabilize) and manually did my stabilization. But it applied to the original, not post Warp.

Anyways that seemed to do the trick. Not happy with it, and it took way too long, but i cant find an alternative route.

December 23, 2011 at 12:07 pm in reply to: 3d text & motion tracking & mysterious twist

I’ve been trying every setting possible, reading every website i can find, and i’m still not getting it.

My tracking seems ok. (pos, rot, scale, type=transform)

Clicking reset on (psd) controller makes the text appear off to the right and 30degs to the horizontal – and it works just fine. It stays stuck to a point in the movie, while the movie pans etc…

But as soon as i try to place this text where i want it (and rotate it appropriately), using psd-controller transform settings, it stops behaving well and starts rotating oddly when movie plays…

    Please help…

    scale and position.

For the 4 seconds or so of clip i want the text to appear in, the cameraman does not move his feet. Just a little panning.
    But thanks for the idea…

I’ve just redone my tracking with all 3: scale, position, & rotation. Now the text also jerks away from the camera after 2 seconds. (it moves further into the shot).
    And it still twists about.

    I found it.
It was simply Open up effects panel and delete the effect.
    D’oh

    Thanks anyway
