Thankyou – thats the answer
For Win7 (CS6)
C:UsersnameAppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Media Encoder6.0
PresetCache.xmlI dont know what version the other poster uses, but my h264 opens in the middle, so even having my own at the top would still require scrolling up. And scrolling is *only* possible by click&hold on the little arrow (not mouse wheel, not shortcut).
This will make my life easier. thanks again.

did you ever gent a solution to this?
i’ve come across it and everyone says the same – which doesnt work.
Thanks.++ As we’re all here, i guess we’re not all there ++

why would i make my own presets when i can use whats there?
why should i have to click, click, scroll, wait, wait, click EVERYTIME i need a preset?
Oh, and when i choose H264 the list opens at some random point in the middle, so i have to scroll up as well as down…There must be a list somewhere, which i can edit…

And Jeff – always a good idea to test it ourselves.

Thanks for the link.
Are there any other clip libraries out there. You know at the beginning of movies there’s usually a bunch of company logos – like Relativity Media, Pegasus, Rank(if you’re old enough to remember that), etc.
Just a few seconds of arty video…
?
Thanks. -
thats probably it. some timeline clips have been cut from originals, and others have been imported in their entirety.
i guess PPro is being helpful? by not allowing the direct ‘center at cut’ – but to allow it later, without any warning or message is a bit odd dont-u-think ?++ As we’re all here, i guess we’re not all there ++

Thanks for the reply.
I’ve now learnt that i should not use proxies for motion tracking. It makes sense, but it totally sucks, as thats what i’m doing! And i guess i turn off all proxies and render out on Best Settings – Lossless when i’m finished.
I say ‘guess’ as all the videos i’ve seen just breeze over this last step with the ‘everyone knows this’ attitude. Unfortunately i dont and i’m still looking for the answer… -
i’m now running into this bug.
Its only AVI and Queueing in Media Encoder. It changes to F4V which is really annoying and useless.
Any ideas? I need to export to AVI

i’m not going to tear up a motorway to fix a manhole.
likewise i’m not going to make AE analyise and render many many minutes just for a few seconds.
In this example i started with a minute, but in another project i have 45 minutes of tape, again with just a few seconds benefitting from Warp Stab.I hope this makes clear why understanding how to use WS is preferable to just applying it to everything…

February 21, 2013 at 4:22 pm in reply to: Keyboard Shortcut: Select next clip in Sequencei too would like such a shortcut.
i’ve been told soooo many times, in no uncertain terms on the adobe forums, that only noobs use the mouse; and yet there are clearly missing keyboard commands.https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/default-keyboard-shortcuts.html
is a pretty definitve list.
