have almost exactly the same system/problem.

I was told it was a problem b/w FCP 6 and the Kona RGB codec.

It only seems to effect this flavor (1080p 23.98) but they are working on a solution — no firm date in sight.

Their solution was to de-install 6 and go back to 5.1.

I’m running FCP Studio 2 with a Kona 3 and am getting dropped frames on any clip over 2 seconds.

The deck is a Sony J-H3. I’m thinking the problem might be that I don’t have triple sync running between the two.

Setting the reference to either Video In or Free run has no effect.

I’ve tried Kona 1080i 10-bit and the Kona 1080i Pro Res — same problem.

Ouch!

Did you find a work around? Can I use an earlier version of the 10bit codec?
