    Import the .veg vegas project file you made into the new project (easiest is to drag and drop it), instead of importing the rendered file. Then when you render the new project the original project will be rendered from the source, and you’ll avoid second-generation losses. – Jong

    I didn’t mention that when i render .avi (divx/mp3) using Virtual Dub, that render works.

    I could join the aud and vid streams with another app, but that requires another render and loss of quality.

    I’d like to get Vegas 6 working in the same way that Vegas 5 did, rendering directly into .avu (divx/mp3).
