If you are using stock coolers for the processors, then you can drop your temps by 10 degrees Celsius or more simply by upgrading to a much better Heatsink and Fan. You will likely need to spend over $50 on each HSF for a decent one. Also make sure to use a good thermal compound. Arctic Silver works extremely well.

Unfortunately not since both layers are actually 2D. You could fake it though by creating a 3D layer that is positioned in the same spot as the 3D Invigorator object, turn off the visibility for it, then use it as an obscuration layer.

Yes, I have had experience mixing SD and HD content on a Blu-ray disc authored in Encore. SD content was already transcoded to MPEG2 DVD, and HD content was transcoded to h264. Encore will not re-transcode SD mpeg2 files. As Joe mentioned, make sure the SD content is placed in it’s own timeline.

Ah. I’ve never encountered this error so I was not familiar with the solution. Hopefully deleting the .xmp and .xmpses files will do the trick like the post suggests.

What operating system version are you using?
How much ram do you have installed in your system?
How much hard drive space do you have available on your system drive and any other drive you might be using?

You need to get those into the same Premiere project so you can export as a single m2v file. You might have to export as an uncompressed file or using a lossless codec, then bring that into your CS4 project.

Are you using Premiere to export these? Can the CS3 project be imported into the CS4 project?

Do not use the override or end action for any of the chapters. Your entire video should be rendered out as a single file. Add your chapter points in either program, it doesn’t matter. Create a Chapter Playlist which each submenu’s buttons will link to. You can then set an end action for the chapter playlist and not the chapter itself. You should not have to use any overrides at all.

I have created a complete video tutorial on authoring a Blu-ray/DVD disc in Encore, using a workflow that avoids many of the bugs with the program, and integrates multiple custom motion menus, chapter indexes, seamless menu transitions, blu-ray pop-up menus, and more.
