Can someone please put together a tutorial on this (or point me to one)?

I got into desktop video as a hobby 8 years ago and have always wanted to do this. “Use particular” is a direction but for someone without much of a background in this stuff, isn’t the most helpful. I can remember back then there were people asking how to do this.

The Tutorial that shows how to do nebulas is great and is certainly part of it but it would nice to see the best way to make the starfield and even more elements to the space journey.

Please if you know of a tutorial (I followed the one that takes you form earth to space, now I want to keep going in space…) pleasel et me know and if you make tutorials, please consider doing this. I know it isn’t cutting edge but i bet it would be one of the most viewed ones.

    Thanks Craig,

I’ve been experimenting with a PUSH transition where I insert use a 720×480 block of white to push the slide up, pause for just a moment and then the next slide is pushed down. Its the basic idea, but a little too clean looking for my dad’s old projector.

I wish I had a slide projector to watch so I could get a better feel for it. My sense is that I need a band of black because as the slide mount passes the light it would cast a shadow on the screen. And then the white and then the band of black would come down the screen as the next slide is loaded.

I have the standard package of Premiere Pro, but also have after effects. I’m willing to purchase add-ons if needed. So please feel free to recommend if necessary.

    Thanks again,
    John

Well done. I am a full blown amateur when it comes to film making so do what you want with my input. I am an expert on horror movies though.

I like your edits and choice of camera angle for the most part. A couple of suggestions:

The shot where the viewer brifly gets xray vision to look through the stall door and then moves to a hot inside the stall seems a bit cheesey. I would rather keep getting closer to the door and then cut to a shot that makes it look like you’ve simply traveled through the door – I didn’t care for teh xray vision.

When she is being dragged underneath the stall: I like it – I thought it was a little different than the victim being dragged into the stall as you see in many films. However, I would show her being dragged and make the last thing the viewer sees is her disappearing under the door – then show the clouds over the school etc. Showing her after she is dragged under the door and laying on the floor is redundant for me and removing it would tighten it up a bit.

I was pretty impressed with the acting form the children – I know it was a brief part for them, but they did a great job.

I thought it looked great. I thought you created a good amount of mood to it.
