if I render in AE 864×486 and then bring into Commressor and use 16:9 2pass the burn a DVD in DVD sudio pro as 16:9 , will this footage play properly on a 16:9 tv and will it play proerly on a 4×3 tv i know it would be letter box on 4×3 would the aspect ratio be corrrect? if i dont render a 720×480 in AE?

why would I have to render 720×486 non-square for the output? what would this do?

sorry that i was not clear, i want it as 16×9 on the plasma. i design the dvd as a squshed 16×9 on a 4×3 dvd to trick the aspect ratio and when it would be played back on a plasma that’s 16×9 this part of it is good. know how would i make a beta sp back up of this if the comp is 864×468? what settings would i use?

  • how much would you charge for a render? let’s say 1 hour, would it be right to do a % of the hourly rate? and would it be right to charge for a rush job like 24 hours or less, maybe a % as well?

when i bring it back FCP from AE the picture still looks washed out on the TV monitor. My render settings are at best using dvcpro50, full resolution, interlaced, 4:3..what can i check next. I line up the original video in FCP and the render from AE and look at it on the computer monitor and the AE render is washed out. I have a sony pvm20L2 monitor for broadcast.
