Then you’ll need to buy After Effects. Vegas Pro has no notion of a camera or any way to add behaviors like bounce.

You should post pictures using the IMAGE UPLOAD button because most people won’t download a random zip file to their computer.
If you just want to make that black film strip frame around the video you could use the Mask tool in Pan/Crop to draw it, or you could create a matte in a graphics editor that has an alpha channel where you want the video to show through.

Hi Linda,
Those files are Photo JPEG and do not contain an Alpha Channel. What you have is Matte video that can be used to mask the Wipe video. You need to:
- Place the 99175_goldenFiligree_HD1_Alpha.mov video on the top track.
- Place the 99175_goldenFiligree_HD1_DA_Wipe.mov video on the track below it.
- Place your background video on a track below both of those.
- Change the Compositing Mode of the top track to with the matte video to Mask (Multiply)
- Change the second track with the Wipe to be a Compositing Child of the top track.
- Add the Mask Generator to the Alpha matte Event to make the black turn transparent.
Here is a picture of what you should see:

Actually, Vegas Pro handles alpha channels in QuickTime MOV files just fine. The link you pointed to in your post had to do with MOV files created in Avid. No one supports Avid’s alpha channels because they are backward. Vegas Pro supports QuickTime alpha channels with the Animation codec, the PNG codec, and ProRes 4444 codec in addition to uncompressed.

What codec do the files use? Open them in QuickTime Player and use Ctrl+I to bring up the inspector windows and see what codec the video uses. It needs to be able to carry an alpha channel in order for Vegas Pro to see it.

You are going about this the wrong way. Removing the front fan is not going to help.
You need to Google for “mac pro service manual” and download a PDF copy and read about how to do this. You need to remove the memory and loosen the memory cage and slide it towards the back to get the heat sink cover off.

Use whatever works for you but 32-bit color will change the look and you were complaining that the look was changing, that’s all.

I’m going to assume that your source is progressive footage captured from your PC screen during game play. Given that assumption:
- Your project is set up as interlaced which is wrong for progressive source.
- Your project doesn’t specify a deinterlace method which is wrong for an interlaced project.
- Your pixel format is set to 32-bit which should only be used for 10-bit source which I doubt highly your game footage is (this is why your colors are shifting).
- Your render settings are not taking advantage of available bandwidth because it’s set to constant bit rate.
I would:
- Set your project up as progressive.
- Use 8-bit pixel format
- Render to VBR using Two pass with 24Mbps max, 16Mbps average bitrate
See if that improves things.
Also, your subject talks about AVI files but you are rendering to MP4. So I don’t understand that. Is your source AVI?

I believe they are talking about the effect that starts at 3:02 with the cheerleaders.

I believe you nailed it, Bill. It looks like they recorded it much slower and then increased the speed to make it look normal. This allows you to do moves that you never could do because you can’t react that fast normally but at 1/2 speed it’s very easy to do. Also you move differently when you are moving slower so the moves look unnatural when sped back up to normal speed giving it that jerky feel. Nicely done. (the whole video is actually nicely done)
