I’d recommend “Zaxwerks Invigorator Training” by Serge Hamad which you can get from the Creative Cow. I believe the price has come down some recently.
Serge has incredibly detailed description of the use of the plug-in and a very valuable part on how to use Illustrator with Invigorator.
(Of course, you have to know a little about Illustrator which I got from Lynda.com).John Rich

Serge,
Thanks for showing me how to do the jigsaw project. I’ll post the final result here. I didn’t realize how powerful a piece of software Invigorator is especially combined with Illustrator.
Like everything else, it’s all about learning to use it.

Thanks for looking at this. I sent you and email with the materials. Let me know if you need more info.

Ken,
Thanks for the help. I’m still working on this so I’ll let you know if I need more help. The idea of mapping the masked picture onto the pieces didn’t surface in my mind, and I appreciate the idea.
Unfortunately, Illustrator is still giving me some problems, but hopefully I’ll have an example out in a couple of days.
Thanks again.

Jon,
Sorry to bother you, but I can’t find the BluRay tutorial on your web site. Would you please point me to it. Thanks,

Here’s a long thread which may help. (Particularly down toward the end of the thread).

Are you using a Mac. If so Leopard OS may contribute to the subpicture problem.
If you are using windows and you want to make a bluray regular DVD that plays on PS3, you have to edit the Index file in the BDMV file of a folder you generate with ENcore. There is a tutorial here called Bluray, regular DVD and PS3 which shows how to do this.

Mark,
I recorded these tutorials with Camtasia. This required a techsmith codec to play and I don’t know for sure whether it can be used on a Mac. Here is their website.
https://www.techsmith.com/download/codecs.aspI don’t think there is a real interest in this although, Sony Vegas did add, I believe, the ability to burn HD to regular DVD’s.
In order to make the BluRay folder created in Encore play on the PlayStation 3, you have to edit the file as I demonstrated on my tutorial.
You can always get a bluray burner and burn a bluray disk which in my case would play on my PS3 or Bluray players (I used the local Best Buy to check this). The only problem, is the cost of the blank disks and whether your clients have bluray players.
This thread (I didn’t realize a year had gone by), summarized my experience then especially the last post.
https://www.wrigleyvideo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=29665I really just use my HDV or AVCHD video to downsize to wide screen SD since my clients don’t have bluray players.
Let me know how it works out for you.John Rich

Marc,
Burning Hd to DVD has been done successfully, but I really don’t see how you could “guarantee” it unless you just tried it on the guys machine.
Anyway, if you’re interested you could check out these threads.
