I finally figured out what this error is.
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
(….SrcPPixHandleUtilities.cpp-114)It’s a compiling and render error in Premier Pro on preview rendering bad/corrupt/odd codec Quicktime movies. Premier Pro seems to be able to only render and use a small portion of certain Quicktime movies that are imported into the timeline using certain conversion codecs. I have a big music video I was working on and was using bought stock footage from I-Stock and Artbeats. I took all the quicktime video clips and converted them to Uncompressed avi’s and the problem went away. No more Quicktime movies in Premier Pro for me until this is fixed. I’m only using Quicktime in Final Cut. I will say that when I do make my own animations in After Effects using the Quciktime format I don’t seem to be having any problems using those in the timeline. But I always save them to Uncompressed and no codec used.

March 11, 2008 at 6:55 pm in reply to: Menu video changes to still image after adding text..Why?DUH! I feel so stupid….That’s what I get for not reading the entire manual. Thanks for telling me on this. I was about to give up. I’m also having so many problems with the program crashing when I do a build check that I can’t figure out what’s going on. Been reading about over lapping buttons as the cause…(not mine). But it seems you have to be really careful not to do the wrong thing while on this program/project or it gets corrupt easily.

February 25, 2008 at 6:49 pm in reply to: Does anyone know what this error message means?OK Randy…Thanks for your reply….Somebody out there has to have this same errror. It all seemed to start after I upgraded my QuickTime Pro to 7.4.1 I know they fixed some security issues and I have a funny feeling that it’s the reason why AE users are having the problems I’m seeing posted on the forums. It seems to go away when I take out any Quicktime movies made or imported from AE…i.e.text graphics or any Swipes I make from Digital Juices Juicer 3 software.

February 25, 2008 at 12:52 am in reply to: cs3 crashes when i customize keyboards, and other timesI’ve heard of this one before and had the same problem. I was told that if there are any corrupt fonts on your computer this will cause the problem. Correct me if I’m wrong guys but that’s what I was told. Now trying to find the corrupt font is another problem. I gave up on it.

You were so Right and Randy responded too and hit it on the head. It was twofold. First the PNGs was the problem for Prerender. Then Randy wanrned me about HiReZ files. I did originally delete them and even changed the format. But the size was still too big. Even after all of that I still had crashes and render errors. It wasn’t until I started a new Project and Imported and the project clean and took out tose images and redid them….did the problem stop.
I had to do at least three things to fix the problem.
I thanks you and RANDY so much for your help.

Dam Randy…You saved my life…Thank You so much!
It was two logos at 300 dpi about 1500 pixels. Originally I thought it was them because I recieved an error during preview render, so I converted to psd instead of PNG. So the preview rendered ok but then the final output wouldn’t work. I’ve done hi rez files before in FCP so I didn’t think it would be a problem. But once the timeline got corrupt I think I also needed to restart and do a new project so all the things you said needed to be checked and/or done. The only thing I had covered was the scratch disks.
I’m still a little miffed the Premiere Pro cant actually tell me what the error was or where it was coming from. Priemier Pro SHOULDN’T EVEN LET A FILE IT CAN’T HANDLE INTO THE PROJECT OR TIMELINE. In this day and age you would think a stupid thing like this would be solved or fixed. Com on guys at ADOBE…you should be ASHAMED…so many people have this problem..
DAM FIX IT…..I’m going back to FCP

I’m having a very similar problem myself BUT I think it’s different. I’ve NEVER had ANY problems EVER rendering anything in uncompressed AVI format. I am workling with alot of graphics and have 4 GIG of RAM. After working with new still images I made in Photoshop I imported them in the Premier Pro timeline and then tried to render an uncompressed AVI. It stopped halfway through and gave me the memory error. After doing the swith to memeory check with no luck I decided to backtrack and took out the still images (pngs)I added. Then it rendered ok. I think this memory error is the result of something NOT compatible in the timeline. No the problem came back again with no stills in the timeline. I’m pulling my hair out because I’ve never had this happen before and always use the same grapics and video formats. Any suggestions? Could there be a bug in this latest version of Premier Pro cs3? I have all the latest updates.
I have to have it uncompressed as I need top quality. When I try DV AVI sometimes one of the audio tracks doesn’t render out. And now Premiere Pro crashes when I try to render other formats like Quicktime. I need to work with all the files in the timeline. Someting is seriously wrong. Please help with suggestions.Actually this seems like a rendering problem!
