I have a bin setting called Reformatting Columns made just for this purpose.

Make the aspect ratio column visible in your bin.
Change it to 4:3. Now pillarbix should do what you want. -

It doesn’t need to be anywhere as complicated as you did there.
Navigate to one level above your BPAV folder, not the BPAV folder itself, and you should be good. If not, the folder name may contain illegal characters that are confusing things.
Wouldn’t hurt to go to the Help menu or open the user guide and read the chapter on AMA linking. Common workflows are rather nicely spelled out. Better than questionable online tutorials that refer to older versions of the software.
XDCAM and P2 are among the easiest to work with (and often can be worked with natively without transcode)

Trying to troubleshoot other issues and looking in the console I see there are countless messages from the Avid Application manager. Many of them errors. Don’t know if it causes any performance issues, but its troubling. It doesn’t just occur at startup….they persist as long as its running.

This was meant as a joke….but….
Avid once allowed all sorts of interface customization. Dozens of UI elements and color highlights could be tweaked. Everything was on the table. Some people went nuts and came up with some pretty garish combinations of colors and rendered it almost unrecognizable. Avid promptly took out the ability to do this. admitting it was due to branding and interface consistency concerns.

Wherever your NLE allegiance lies (if you even have one)…can you even imagine emoji support in Avid bins? Ever?

Yes…re-reading the original post, Moses is attempting to do this with MC 5, which has far less robust Relink features than current versions. He may have to try and do this with Batch Import rather than AMA.
Honestly, I would stick it out with Premiere Pro, but transcode to Pro Res or Avid DNX and see if that helps.

Try exporting an AAF. It’s better than an EDL anyway.

You might want to remove a graphics card and see if things improve, as Shane said. Recent versions should be able deal with dual GPUs, but you really should be using approved hardware and drivers to pull that off. You won’t get any benefit in Avid from dual GPUs, that’s for sure.
A couple of other things to keep in mind….
Avid really hates having windows and pallettes over the source and record monitors. You can get weird refresh artifacts and poor playback, even if things overlap a little.
In addition, when Avid is transcoding in the foreground, it pegs all the processors on your machine and will use all available ram. Trying to do anything else in your machine will be difficult. The latest version has background transcoding, which is slower, but less demanding on your machine.
Lastly, it looks like you are not using an Avid approved configuration, which makes troubleshooting a bit challenging. Doesn’t mean it won’t work…many people do. You might want to look at the approved Nvidia drivers for Avid and make sure that’s what you have installed. If you are using other programs they might require newer drivers than Avid supports, so you might be looking at making multiple boot drives to get around this.
