I haven’t really used this workflow, but DaVinci Resolve lite has the ability to sync by waveform. You can choose to export new synced media or AAF export of a timeline with synced audio back to Avid. And its free.

If you had ghosting, you needed to adjust the pull down in the Motion Effect Editor, as the cadence was off on that clip. But never mind.
Anyway…the assistants were right. Avid does not allow group clips to have differing frame rates, so yes…in this instance, a third party encoder was the way to go. The fact that some clips “didn’t work well” in DaVinci, tells me something may have been up with the footage itself, but it’s hard to say. Both Avid and Resolve can do this perfectly if the settings are correct and there are no anomalies with the footage.

That should not happen. Your settings may have been incorrect. Was this double system sound or was the audio recorded in camera?
By the way,… You don not need to convert the footage in Resolve or a third party program. Avid is perfectly capable of adding proper pull down in the timeline.

Going between Avid and Premiere can be pretty hit and miss, however both programs can round trip with Resolve very well.
Try sending your Avid AAF to Resolve then export from Resolve to Premiere.
Resolve is free, so worth a shot. -
This is what I think your issue is.
When you consolidate to Avid media, it creates separate Video and Audio files (Op Atom MXF media).
Premiere seems to be trying to connect to the original XDCAM media , which has the audio embedded.
In Avid, instead of consolidating, can you try transcoding the audio and video to Avid DNXHD 120? Then try to export AAF again. Make sure you are exporting from the transcoded sequence. Now see if Premiere can figure it out.

Have you contacted Avid support? I’m presuming you have a basic support contract since it’s pretty much mandatory these days.
This is precisely the type of error you should be contacting Avid about.

Sounds like you may have updated MC but did not upgrade software on your Unity/ISIS?

Try nesting track 2 (do not include track 1 in the nest). Apply the 3D warp to the nest.
