To help try to troubleshoot, create a new user account on your Mac and see if the problem persists.
If so, try putting your original video card back in, instead of the CUDA card and see if it persists.
You have to try narrowing things down before you go and reinstall everything….otherwise you might waste a lot of time.

I have all on on system with no conflicts. However, you must be careful and not instantly do OS updates as soon as they are available. Avid and Adobe will be slower to approve using a software update than Apple.

Like the others, I suspect this is a long GOP issue. Have you tried transcoding a clip to DNXHD to see if it returns to normal?

My offset is set to 0. Its dead on.

I have Decklink studio and it’s dead on in Avid, FCP7. Not aware if any widespread issues.

Symphony and MC are the same except that MC has a hobbled color corrector. Symphony also has Universal mastering from 24p projects, if you have DX hardware.
With Symphony being so cheap it would be foolish in my opinion to buy MC instead.

I actually use a rattlesnake sound for something similar once. Worked very well.

MC 6 has some bugs and some interface changes that some people don’t like. Generally it works fine for me and the good outweighs the bad…but not everyone’s experience is the same. If someone has a system working well with MC 5.5 it’s hard to convince them to change if it’s doing everything they need.
That aside…Arri Alexa now supports shooting in Avid DNX…maybe you should consider it.

Sometimes drives come with small partitions with useless software on them.
Is it possible this drive comes with a small HFS+ partition on it with utilities for Mac users on it?
