Is your comp background or bottom layer black? I have sometimes had strange color changes when I have a layer at the bottom that is not black or white (when using things like layer modes.)

We have a MPP card and don’t use it much – its encoded files are much larger than compressors and we have problems with the quality of the encode (green squares etc. showing up), tech support has not been very helpful. The big plus is that it is realtime which is nice for long encodes (problem is that our audio and video often end up at different lengths if it is too long!)

Try deleting the file com.apple.motion.plist (do a search to find it) This will reset the preferences to default and often fixes lots of problems.
